Website accessibility and SOST’N’s RGAA commitment

Local authorities are legally bound to accessibility. We hold our own site to the standard the law sets for them.

A voluntary commitment

SOST’N is not legally subject to the RGAA, the French general accessibility framework. Local authorities and institutions are, and they check it with their suppliers.

This site is built to the requirements imposed on local authorities: calculated contrast, keyboard navigation, a consistent heading structure, alternative text on every image.

Accessibility statement

  • Compliance status: the site fully complies with RGAA 4.1.2.
  • Test results: 61 applicable criteria, 61 met, that is 100%. The other 45 criteria do not apply to this site (no video with sound, no data table, no downloadable office document).
  • Audit: internal audit carried out by Global Essor, the site’s provider, on 17 September 2026, then a second audit on 26 September 2026 after corrections.
  • Pages audited: home, twinning committee, twinning ceremony, method, contact, legal notice, accessibility, site map, one local page and the English home page.
  • Pages added on 8 October 2026 (companies, federations): built on the audited template and checked automatically (Lighthouse, accessibility 100), they will join the sample of the next audit.
  • Technologies used: HTML5, CSS, JavaScript (Next.js and React).
  • Tools: W3C validator, axe-core 4.13, Playwright driving headless Google Chrome, pixel-level contrast measurement, simulations at 320 px, 200% zoom, increased text spacing and enlarged browser font, plus full keyboard runs.
  • Limitation: the audit did not include testing with a screen reader (NVDA, JAWS or VoiceOver), nor with a browser other than Chrome.
  • Non-accessible content: none. No exemption is claimed.

SOST’N is committed to making its website accessible in line with the French accessibility framework (RGAA), version 4.1.2. This statement applies to www.sostn.fr.

Checks carried out during design

  • Every colour pair is calculated using the relative luminance formula, never judged by eye
  • No text is placed on a flat colour below the required contrast threshold
  • Keyboard focus is visible on all interactive elements and is never removed
  • A skip link gives direct access to the main content
  • Animations respect the system’s reduced motion setting
  • No visible captcha is used on the contact form

SOST’N is not a body subject to the RGAA: no administrative appeal is open on that basis. This statement is voluntary, and we keep it up to date as if it were mandatory.
